Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
Mokk is operated by Chase Wilson.
Mokk helps you prepare for product marketing interviews, on app.mokk.ai and inside ChatGPT. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and how to ask us to delete it. Questions go to support@mokk.ai.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, your name if you give it, and your sign-in credentials (passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we never see them).
- Interview prep: the companies, roles and interview dates you enter, and the preps you save.
- Practice answers and scores: the questions you practice, the full text of your answers and the scores and feedback we generate.
- Live mock interviews: your voice is streamed to our AI provider to run the interview. We don't store the audio. We store the transcript, scores and review.
- Purchases: your credit balance and purchase history. Card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Usage analytics: pages and features you use, errors, and coarse device and browser details, keyed to your account or to a random identifier.
Using Mokk in ChatGPT
When you use the Mokk plugin in ChatGPT, we receive only what ChatGPT passes to our tools:
- The company, role, interview date and practice answers you give a Mokk tool.
- ChatGPT's anonymized user identifier, which we use for rate limits and to keep your practice history before you connect an account. Practice answers you give while not signed in (question, answer text and score) are stored against that identifier.
- If ChatGPT sends no identifier, a keyed hash of your IP address is used for rate limiting only. It is never stored with your answers or sent to analytics.
- For each tool call, analytics record the tool, its outcome and how long it took, plus context ChatGPT shares: client platform (web, iOS, Android, desktop or Codex), locale, country and a hashed conversation identifier. We don't keep your raw user agent, city or coordinates, and we don't request your chat history.
When you connect a Mokk account in ChatGPT, your earlier anonymous practice answers and analytics move into that account. ChatGPT can then read your name and email, saved preps, practice scores, and mock interview reviews and transcripts, when you ask for them.
Company research shown on prep cards is gathered from the public web, cached and shown to everyone who preps for that company. It contains no information about you.
If you log a debrief of a real interview, it is private to you. If you choose to share its questions, only the question text, the kind of round and the month are shown, without your name, to other signed-in users looking at that company. Shared questions appear only once at least three people have shared for the same company, and we strip email addresses, phone numbers and links from them. You can stop sharing or delete a debrief at any time.
Company guides and open roles in the app come from Mokk's own guides and from companies' public job boards. They contain no information about you.
How we use it
- To run Mokk: generate questions, score answers, run mock interviews and save your progress.
- To prevent abuse, through rate limits and usage caps.
- To understand which features work and fix problems.
- To process purchases and answer support requests.
We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- OpenAI: hosts ChatGPT, and powers scoring, company research and live mock interviews.
- Supabase: database and authentication.
- Vercel: hosting and performance analytics.
- PostHog: product analytics and error reports.
- Stripe: payments.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Practice answers from ChatGPT that were never connected to an account: deleted after 30 days.
- Rate-limit records: deleted after 2 days.
- Usage analytics: kept for up to 12 months.
- Account data, preps, answers, transcripts, reviews and debriefs: kept until you delete your account.
- Purchase records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Cached company research: kept and refreshed as needed. It contains no personal data.
Your choices
- Delete your data: email support@mokk.ai from the address on your account. We delete your account and everything tied to it, including practice answers, preps and transcripts, within 30 days, except purchase records we must keep by law.
- Opt out of analytics: email us and we'll stop recording analytics for your account and delete what we've recorded.
- Disconnect ChatGPT: remove Mokk from your ChatGPT settings at any time. That stops new data flowing; email us if you also want existing data deleted.
- Access or correct: email us for a copy of your data or to correct it.
Children
Mokk is for job seekers and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their data.
